The mission of the Buckhorn Middle School Band is to provide an atmosphere in which students learn to succeed at playing musical instruments as individuals and as a group.  The band program is dedicated to presenting students with music for the sole purpose of enriching the students’ total education.  The band program seeks to prepare students for success in all music performances and in the Buckhorn High School Band.  In addition, the band program seeks to prepare students with the leadership and social skills that they will need to be successful in the future.

The band serves to support the school by providing entertainment at home football games, occasional assemblies, and pep rallies. The band will also perform at concerts in the winter and spring.
