I grew up in Chattanooga, TN, and attended college at Chattanooga State, Motlow College, and Athens State University. I began my work with children in an after-school care program during my senior year in high school. I have continued to work with children in different environments throughout my entire adult life. It brings me great joy!

I have been married to my high school sweetheart for 28 years. We have two grown sons, one dog, and hundreds of honeybees. My husband and I enjoy running and finding lots of fun places to travel for races. I also enjoy meal prepping and attending fitness classes at the gym.
