My name is Mrs. McCord. I joined the Mt. Carmel family in 2021 as a Pre-K Lead Teacher and could not be happier. It is truly my dream job and I am proud to be a Wildcat! I graduated from Athens State University with a bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education and minor in Special Education. I absolutely love teaching Pre-K and look forward to gaining eighteen new little friends each year. My students not only become part of my classroom family but also part of my heart forever.

When I am not at school, I enjoy spending time with my husband, Alex, and our three girls: Natalie, Heidi, and Lanie Faye. I am usually busy being a teacher and cheer mom, but I also enjoy going to concerts, hiking, kayaking, or cuddling up with a good book or movie.
