B.S. Elementary Education, Northwestern College

Anna Simmons

I grew up in Alaska and lived there for 40 years. I graduated from Northwestern College in St. Paul, MN with a B.S. degree in Elementary Education, and a minor in Middle School Mathematics. I also graduated with a Biblical Studies degree. I also played 4 years of college volleyball.  I enjoyed playing multiple sports as a child, and have always continued that thru my adulthood. I’ve also coached volleyball and basketball for over 15 years at multiple levels (elem, MS, HS).  I currently still play adult league hockey. I taught a total of 12 years in public schools in Alaska(8 years elementary and 4 years MS/HS Mathematics, PE, Computers, Theater).
I enjoyed my move from Alaska to Alabama last year. I mostly enjoy spending time with my family. We love watching sports and spending time on the lake! I’m excited to be a member of Mt. Carmel Elem. school where I can continue my love of teaching and helping make a difference in the lives of many children!
