Welcome to 2nd grade! My name is Mrs. Reid.  I am very excited to have the opportunity to work with you and your child.  This year will be filled with activities and projects that will expand your child’s mind and imagination.

I hope that you are as enthusiastic about the upcoming academic year as I am!  I would like to provide you with a few details about myself.  This will be my nineteenth year teaching.  I spent six years in first grade and the rest in second.   I am a graduate of Jacksonville State University which was also my hometown.  I received a B.S. degree in Early Childhood Education and Elementary Education.  My husband Kevin and I will be celebrating our twenty-ninth year of marriage this year!  He is a retired Major in the National Guard and an Iraqi War Veteran.   We have wonderful young adult twin daughters who both chose a career in the medical field.  Time really flies by fast, so enjoy your kiddos while you can!
