I want to welcome you and your child to Mount Carmel Elementary. I know that we can make this a successful school year by working together. My name is Willa Wright. I am a special education teacher who works primarily with children with developmental and cognitive delays in a self-contained setting. I strive to provide my students with learning activities and experiences that will help them fulfill their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth. I have been with Madison County schools for over a decade. I earned my degree from Alabama A&M University in special education: concentrating in Mild/Moderate Learning Handicapped. I have experience in teaching grades kindergarten through eighth. I am married to Casey Wright. Together we have four children. I enjoy spending time with family and friends, lounging around the house, caring for my family, reading, and doing yard work.
