Born in Middle Tennessee and reared by an elementary teacher and an Army Veteran turned field engineer, I was taught to work hard, strive for excellence, fight for the underdog, laugh often and treat all people with respect and kindness.  I grew up knowing that one day, I wanted to follow in my mother’s footsteps and be a teacher. I’m one of the lucky ones to be living my dream. I have taught in Tennessee, Georgia and Alabama in grades 1 - 5 and as an art teacher.

My husband, John, and I have 2 awesome children, an equally awesome son-in-law (all three Auburn grads) and two beautiful grandchildren.  Stop by to see pictures anytime!

In addition to teaching third grade, I love co-directing our afterschool program and sponsoring our walking club.

When I’m not working, I love spending time with my family, reading, listening to music, following Tennessee and Auburn football, traveling and hiking.
