I am a graduate of Hazel Green High School with a B.S. in Social Science from Athens State University.  I've been with Sparkman Middle School since 1998.  I have taught History classes in grades 5-8 and coached basketball and softball.  I have two sons. My oldest, Cody, is an Army veteran and works for a government contractor as a Black Hawk analyst.  He and his wife have four children (my joys): Waylon, Natalie, Nolan and Piper.  My youngest son, Brock, lives with his wife and baby girl, Millie in Huntsville, where he works for a forestry consulting firm. I also have a very spoiled Shih Tzu/terrier rescue named "Heifer". In my spare time I enjoy reading, listening to music, attending concerts, and binge watching Netflix.
