    State Level Awards

    Chiquita Marbury Technology Innovation Award

    The "Chiquita Marbury Technology Innovation Award," sponsored by the Alabama Department of Education, is presented each year at the Alabama Educational Technology Conference. The award honors Chiquita Marbury's invaluable years of service as a technology innovator in Alabama by recognizing educators who are exemplary models of technology teachers and leaders. Nominees are judged based upon the following five criteria: Innovation and Creativity, Impact on Teaching and Learning, Leadership, Teamwork, and Scholarship.

    Alabama Leaders in Educational Technology Sally Moore Award

    The Sally Moore Award honors one of Alabama’s early educational technology leaders. Like Sally, recipients of this award must demonstrate a long-term dedication to promoting technology in K-12 education, must go “above and beyond” in supporting technology in their school system, and must exhibit extraordinary leadership qualities, including a willingness to share personal successes (and failures) with others.
