    Mark is an experienced director with a demonstrated history of working in the education management industry. He is skilled in Computer Electronics, Agile Methodologies, Infrastructure Development, VOIP, Data Center, Purchasing, and Inventory Management. He is a strong business development professional. Mark previously worked as the Chief Technology Officer for Lauderdale County Schools and was the Coordinator of Academic Technologies at UNA.

    Aurora oversees day-to-day operations and manages Computer Technicians and Lab Aides. She is a former Computer Technician from Morgan County Schools IT department with a wide range of education industry IT experience. Her favorite part of her job is project management and operations management.

    Data Specialists

    Jim Snell

    Bachelor's in Business Administration, Management and Operations
    Faulkner University

    Jim has worked in the Madison County School System for 21 years. In addition to managing the student information system, Jim has taught administrators how to analyze student data with tools like Excel and Pivot Tables. He has taught excellent 12-week classes in a course called Seize the Data. He instructed administrators with valuable tools like how to export student data and create stories for analysis. 


    Jeremy Moses

    Jeremy specializes in Data Integration with a wide range of highly valuable skills that benefit each area of the IT department. Jeremy has been a Data Specialist for Madison County Schools since 2013. He has a wide range of IT experience dating back to 2012. Jeremy is excellent at helping to solve IT issues and implementing proactive measures.

    Systems Specialist

    Austin Smith

    Associate Degree in Network Engineering
    Virginia College

    Austin administers and maintains the network backbone alongside the network specialist. He also maintains the servers, and endpoints for the School System. He is fluent with active directory, group policy, Windows server technology, G-Suite, among many other things.  Austin has been a Madison County employee since 2005 starting as a technician and working his way up. His knowledge and understanding of the district and its technology are invaluable.

    Jonathan Lawson

    ITT Technical Institute

    Jonathan administers and maintains the network backbone alongside the systems specialist. He specializes in Infrastructure and Networking administration. He has been in the IT field since 2003. He has been a Madison County employee since 2014 starting as a computer technician and working his way up. You will always see Jonathan out and about doing an excellent job at maintaining the network.

    Ben not only assists the Network Specialist but also helps out with computer issues when needed. Ben started as an IT Department contractor with dependability and valuable skills. When the opportunity came he proved to be a top candidate for the technician position.

    Blake provides support and technical assistance the schools in his assigned zone(s) while also taking opportunities to grow his IT skillset. He graduated in 2016 with an Associate's in Computer Information Systems and started in the IT field at Intergraph Corporation. He has been a Madison County Employee since the 2018/2019 school year.     Heather Hope

    Heather is a Computer Technician who primarily oversees and manages Buckhorn and its feeder schools' technology needs. She has over 15 years of experience in technology hardware/software repair and also assists the Network/Systems Administrators as needed. Heather has been a Madison County employee since 2017. Heather currently services these schools:

    Nikki Rodman

    Nikki's work experience includes teaching for a private high school where her responsibilities included maintenance of the school’s student management system as well as supporting students and staff in a one-to-one laptop environment. She started her tenure with Madison County Schools at Lynn Fanning Elementary serving as the Tech Contact. Nikki currently services these schools:
