BMS Student Resources

  • BMS Student Resources:
In order for students to receive any of these resources, all you have to do is call, email, or complete the referral form with the student’s name and resource.

Individual Counseling – see Mrs. Murphy, 7th grade counselor, or Mrs. Daniels, 8th grade counselor.

Small Groups – We will offer the following small groups during the fall semester once students complete the Student Needs Assessment: Examples of this could be: Building Champions (Boys), Celebrate Beauty (Girls), Time Management/Organization, Socialization, and Anger Management.

Social worker - Ms. Karen Payne. Her office is located in the old mail room next to the front office. She is here on Wednesdays. She is assisting with attendance, discipline, and DHR referrals. As a mandatory reporter, you still have to refer your DHR reports to DHR. She is here just for assistance after the report is made.

Nova Therapist - Ms. Rachel Brewer. She is located in the office near the front office. Ms. Brewer is with us on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. We have Nova Referral forms should you need to see her.

Lunches of Love - This is a weekend snack pack that is given to students that need extra snacks/food on the weekend. Although we haven't started this opportunity yet this year, students normally pick these up on Fridays. We are collecting permission forms right now. Please let Mrs. Mullins or myself know the student's name so we can explain the process to them.

    SRO - Deputy Hooper

    Food/Clothing/School Supply Resources - see a counselor

Caring House (Grief Counseling) – This is for students that have lost a loved one.

Shop With a Hero – This is for students that may need Christmas assistance. Forms will be sent out and collected in October. You can also sign up to be a Hero. It is an amazing resource to participate in. More information to come.
