My husband, Ken, and I have been married for 27 years and have 2 kids, both brought up in the Madison County School system. We could not be more proud of them. Our daughter is an accounting graduate from UNA and our son is an engineering student at Auburn. War Eagle!

Murray State University is where I got my Bachelor of Science in Education. (GO RACERS!) I began teaching in 1994 in Kentucky as a 3rd-grade teacher. In 2003, my family made the move to Harvest, Alabama. 

Gifted Education is a passion of mine. I found that while teaching, the students who already understood the material were often ignored or given the job of tutoring. These students were often the ones who did not make academic gains. Every year in education is a new and exciting one! I can't wait to see what the new year brings!
