I am a graduate of Athens State University with a degree in Elementary Education and a degree in Behavioral Science. I am a graduate of the University of West Alabama with a Master's degree in Library Media, and I am pursuing a Master's degree in Counseling and Psychology. I have been teaching since 2008 as I began at Hazel Green Elementary as a Title I Assistant, in 4th and 5th grade. I then transferred to Meridianville Middle School where I taught 6th grade Language Arts and coached both boys and girls soccer for 5 years. I have been a Library Media Specialist with Huntsville City Schools and have taught 8th grade Language Arts in Lincoln County. I returned to Madison County to teach 5th grade at Harvest Elementary. I am the Chapter Advisor for National Elementary Honor Society and a member of the PBIS committee and Library Committee.

I am happily married to my husband, Luke, and we have 2 wonderful children, McKenzie and Mason.
