My name is Becky Hughes, Speech-Language Pathologist at Legacy Elementary School. I was born and raised in the state of Kentucky. Therefore, I am a big UK Wildcats’ fan! I didn’t know football existed until I moved to Alabama. I have been married to my husband, Greg, for 33 years. Our son and daughter are our pride and joy. I graduated with my B.S. and M.A. in Speech and Communication Disorders from Western Kentucky University. I have both state licensure and Clinical Competence Certification from the American Speech and Hearing Association (ASHA). I have worked in both the school system and private settings. Articulation, Language, Voice, Hearing Impairment, Fluency and Auditory Processing deficits are some of the areas addressed in Speech class. I absolutely love my job as it is very rewarding helping our students be the best communicators they can be!
