My name is Janel Ramsden.  I'm excited to be your child's fifth grade math and science teacher this year.

 I grew up in Huntingburg, Indiana, which is close to Holiday World Theme Park and the birth place of Abraham Lincoln.  The movie "A League of Their Own" was filmed at a baseball park in my family's home town in Indiana.  I earned my B.S. degree in Elementary Education at the University of Southern Indiana.  I have taught math in 5th & 6^th grades for over 20 years.

 The Ramsden family includes my husband, David, our two sons, Ian and A.J., our dog the “Petey” and a cat named Cookie.   We enjoy going swimming, fishing and boating (anything outdoors) with our family and friends.  This summer I went to North Carolina with my 2 sons for Boy Scout Camp.  I can’t wait to share my vacation expeditions with you.

 This year will be a fun year full of lots of learning and adventures.  I can't wait to meet you soon!
