First Grade

I am a native of S.W. Florida and spent my childhood swimming, boating, fishing, and surfing in the Gulf of Mexico sunshine and riding airboats and swamp buggies in the Everglades! My family and I have moved from South Florida, recently transferring through my husband’s work in corporate management, to be closer to our family.
My husband and I celebrated our 15th wedding anniversary this summer and we have two beautiful children who are attending schools in Madison County. We are a very busy family running from baseball & softball games to soccer & football practices. We are involved in scouting, gymnastics, and dance, as well as 4-H Club. We have a menagerie of exotic animals at home, including sugar gliders, leopard geckos, and bearded dragons, as well as a large pack of Cajun Hunting Hounds. We are currently looking for our forever home and are excited to put down roots and raise our children in this beautiful area.

This will be my 18th year teaching since graduating from Florida Gulf Coast University in 2005 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Early Childhood Education and I recently graduated from Auburn University in August 2022 with my M.Ed in Admin. of Elem. and Secondary Education.

I am excited to be an MXR Comet and make this my best year yet with the Sweetest Class of Firsties!
