I was born and raised in Thomasville, Georgia, and graduated from Thomas County Central High School. I attended college at Valdosta State University, where I earned a B.S. in Communication Disorders and an M.Ed. in Speech-Language Pathology. I enjoy working with students of all ages by helping them effectively communicate and letting them know their voice matters. Education runs in my family with several members currently teaching in other states or are retired teachers.

I have been married to my husband for 20 years. We have one teenager, one dog, and one cat. I enjoy spending time with my family, traveling, watching movies and/or sports, and learning different types of arts & crafts. Hotty Toddy!
