Mrs. Leis began teaching at Sparkman 9th Grade in 2017 and has loved working with the S9GS staff. Above all, she has enjoys sharing her passion of math to all students. Mrs. Leis is from the Huntsville area, graduated from Hazel Green High School, and obtained her Bachelor's Degree from Athens State University and Master’s Degree in Mathematics from The University of West Alabama.

Mrs. Leis serves as the S9GS cheerleading coach and enjoys teaching new stunts and skills. While she is not working or coaching, Mrs. Leis enjoys baking, completing DYI projects, and spending time with family. In the classroom, Mrs. Leis desires to help all students succeed past their expectations while becoming confident in their math skills. Mathematics can be intimidating, but through activities, group discussions, and encouraging support, Mrs. Leis helps students find math to be enjoyable and less intimidating.
