Ms. Sarah Threlkeld
Hello! I have been a teacher since 2001. I have taught 4th grade, 5th grade, K-12 ESL, and I was the ESL Coordinator for Carmel Clay Schoold in Indiana.
I am currently the Lead EL (English Learner) teacher here at Madison County Schools. I teach Sheltered high school English and Social Studies classes at the Tech Center.
I have applied for and recieved numerous teaching grants and have presented Using Technology with ELs at the NATC and AMTESOL conferences. In 2015 I was selected as the Teacher of the Year for the Career Tech Center and the Alternate Secondary Teacher of the Year for Madison County Schools.
This is the most wonderful job because my students and their families are such fantastic people! Madison County Schools is a top-notch district, and the EL students get a lot of support from the caring and excellent EL team and content teachers here.
I am married and we have a son. My family loves to do outdoor activities like camping, hiking, biking, hammocking, and kayaking. We also like to travel, read, cook, and entertain.
