I am excited to begin my first year as the principal of the Madison County Virtual Academy and be a part of this extraordinary school community. I hope to continue the tradition of excellence that has been established over the last five years, and I look forward to working with the staff and students to ensure that MCVA is a first-class virtual school with a strong academic foundation and numerous opportunities for extra curricular involvement.
In my twenty-two years in education, I have had the opportunity to work in almost every grade level. I began my career as a third grade teacher, spent many years as an elementary school librarian before becoming an assistant principal at Hazel Green High School, and eventually, principal of Walnut Grove Elementary School. These experiences have shaped my belief as an educator of the importance of building relationships with the staff, students, and families, and I look forward to creating a partnership between home and school to provide students with the support they need to be successful. If there's ever anything I can do to assist you, please don’t hesitate to contact me.
