My name is Alex Patterson.  I am happily married to my best friend, Wes.  We have two beautiful children, Camden (2 years old) and Ali Kate (3 months old).  My husband and I are beyond blessed and enjoying spending time with our precious babies.  

I graduated in 2011 from Auburn University with a B.S. in Elementary Education.  Quickly, after graduation, I started working but I always knew my college journey was not over.  I wanted to continue my degree and decided to follow my love for reading. I pursued a Master's degree in Library Science and graduated from the University of West Alabama in 2016. This year will mark the start of my 8th year teaching.  I previously had the privilege of working at two amazing schools who have formed me into the leader and educator I am today. I worked for 6 wonderful years at East Elementary School in Cullman City and 1 fantastic year at Hazel Green Elementary. I am thrilled to have the opportunity to serve on the staff here at Riverton Intermediate, and I have full confidence this year will be the best yet!
