Parrish Smith

My name Parrish Smith. I am originally from Chicago, IL and a graduate of Grambling State University. I have a wife (Dimetia) and two daughters (Brooklyn 22, London 13). My wife is a school counselor in the Huntsville City School system. Brooklyn is a recent graduate of Alabama A&M and London will be going into the 8th grade at Sparkman Middle.  I spend most of my time with the youth ministry and the men’s choir at my church New Jerusalem. As well as being an active member of my fraternity Phi Beta Sigma, I love to travel, attend sporting events, and watch movies.

I started my teaching career in the Chicago Public School System in 2000, teaching science and social studies. We moved to the Huntsville area in 2016 where I taught Special Education to Pre-K. I have been teaching Special Education since 2011. This year I will be the Special Education Resource Teacher for the 4th– 6th grade. I look forward to serving your children.
