I started teaching in 1989.

I attended high school at Grissom High School and have spent the majority of my life in the Madison County area. I am lucky that my parents and two siblings all live in the Huntsville area. I attended Troy University on a volleyball scholarship. I graduated with a degree in Special Education/ Elementary. Ed. and received my Master’s Degree in Special Education from Alabama A&M. I have been an educator for over 20 years. The majority of those years have been working with middle school students. Buckhorn is a wonderful school with a rich heritage of providing a quality education for all students.

On the personal level, I have two children. My daughter is an engineer in Atlanta and my son works for a local company in Huntsville. I am a member of Covenant Presbyterian Church. I like to jog, read, and cook. I have recently been traveling internationally for a cultural experience. My husband is a Business Education teacher at Bob Jones High School.
