Mrs. Kari Curtis
Becoming a teacher was my dream since childhood. In 1999, I completed my Bachelors degree in Elementary Education and graduated from Tennessee Technological University. I was elated to begin my career as an educator. After teaching for a few years, I returned to Tennessee Tech, and earned a Master’s Degree and EdS in Instructional Leadership. For the past 19 years, I have taught multiple grade levels in both Tennessee and Alabama. This is my fourth year as an ARI Reading Specialist with Madison County Schools. Early literacy is my passion, and working with teachers and students daily to enhance and support reading development is an absolute joy. I am beyond blessed and thankful that I have been given the opportunity to fulfill my dream.
When I am not at school, I treasure the time that I spend with my husband, Robert, and our children; Cannon, Cullen, Bauer, Kayleah, and Bailey Grace. We enjoy watching our children participate in football, golf, cheerleading, and gymnastics. They certainly keep us busy, but I am enjoying every second because they are growing up quickly. We also spend time on the lake together and travel to Chattanooga often to visit our family.
I am proud to be a part of the Madison County family, and look forward to continuing to live out my passion for many years to come.
