I am a native of Madison County and a very proud alumni of both Harvest School and Sparkman High School. I went to college on full cheerleading scholarships and graduated from Athens State with a degree in Physical Education. I went on to pursue my Masters in Educational Administration from Jacksonville State University. After receiving my Masters, I followed up with an Education Specialist Degree in Instructional Leadership from the University of West Alabama. This is my 23rd year as an educator and my 21st year at Sparkman Middle School. I have taught PE, World History, and Technology Education and have coached Cheerleaders, Softball, and Soccer. I have been married for 23 years to Andy Whitt, also a Sparkman graduate. We have a son, Grant who attends UAH. We also have a daughter, Drew who will attend UNA in the fall. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family, traveling, cooking, reading, volunteering, and watching sports. My heart always has and always will belong to the students, staff, and community of Sparkman.
