Adam Hampton, Principal

Adam Hampton joined Owens Cross Roads School in 2017, following three years of service as Assistant Principal at New Hope School. His career began at Guntersville Middle School, where he taught 6th and 8th grades for five years before being named an Assistant Principal of Albertville Primary School. Before joining OCRS, Mr. Hampton coached football, basketball and was FCA sponsor at Guntersville Middle. He was also a trained instructor with Managing Crisis Safely with Albertville City Schools.

Mr. Hampton grew up in Owens Cross Roads and was a pupil at our wonderful school and then graduated from New Hope High School. He received his undergraduate degree from Athens State University in Secondary Education with a specialization in Social Sciences. Mr. Hampton earned his master’s degree in Educational Leadership from the University of Alabama in 2011.

Mr. Hampton views a collaborative school environment as the key to creating successful teachers and students. He believes partnerships with parents and community partners are essential to enriching the experience at Owens Cross Roads Elementary.

During his free time, Mr. Hampton enjoys spending time with his wonderful family. He is happily married to his wonderful wife Josie and they have two children. Cade and Lucy are both students at OCRS. He enjoys attending church and Alabama football and likes to golf, hunt and fish from time to time.
