Her family returned to the United States in 2019 after over 28 years of serving as a military family. Mrs. Baker is an Alabama native (raised in Chelsea, AL) and decided to become a teacher because of the powerful influence that her teachers had on her life when she was in school. Jake graduated from Auburn University and lives in Huntsville with his wife, Mary. Joshua is a junior at Auburn and Hannah Kate, is a high school sophomore.
