My name is Erica McDonald, I am an energetic, loving, and caring first-grade teacher at Madison Cross Roads Elementary School in Toney, Alabama. I received my high school education from Lee High School, in Huntsville, Alabama. I received a B.S. Degree in Early Childhood Studies from the University of Memphis in 2008, an M.Ed. in Early Childhood Education from Walden University, a B.S. degree in Early Childhood Education from Athens State College in 2019, and am currently working on an Ed.S. degree in Educational Leadership and Administration (principal licensure preparation) from Walden University. My academic majors are Early Childhood Education and Educational Leadership.
I have one dog and his name is Trigga. I love traveling, working out, going to church, and spending time with my friends and family. Teaching young children is a passion of the mind. Therefore, what I do is not considered work for me. Yes, teaching can be hard at times, but I truly enjoy what I do.
