Hello! My name is Meaghan Hughes and I am excited to be the ACE teacher at Madison Cross Roads! I was born in New Jersey but grew up in Alpharetta, Georgia. I graduated from Berry College in 2016 and began my teaching career in Fulton County, the district that shaped my own education. In 2018, I married my high school sweetheart and we moved to Birmingham, Alabama. In 2021, we relocated to Huntsville and bought our first house. We have two dogs, Maja and Milo, and two guinea pigs, Hiccup and Popcorn.
When I am not teaching, you can find me traveling the world, baking, crafting, exercising, or reading. I also play violin locally with the Horizon Chamber Orchestra and the Madison City Community Orchestra. In 2022, I graduated with my master's degree in Gifted Education, and I am excited about starting my doctorate degree in 2023!
