Mrs. Leslie Sedberry

 
Raised in Cullman, Alabama, Leslie Sedberry attended the University of North Alabama after high school where she graduated in 2006 with a Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education in English Language Arts. After graduation, she taught 7th grade ELA, 11th grade ELA, and yearbook at Plainview High School in Rainsville, Alabama. During this time, Mrs. Sedberry also sponsored Scholar's Bowl and assisted with the Student Government Association. While teaching at Plainview, she earned her Master of Arts in Teaching English Language Arts from the University of West Alabama in Livingston. 
 
In 2011, Mrs. Sedberry relocated to Huntsville, Alabama and began teaching at Liberty Middle School in Madison, Alabama. At LMS, she was ELA department chair as well as Digital Communications teacher and National Junior Honor Society sponsor. Mrs. Sedberry was considered a teacher leader within Madison City Schools and wrote the curriculum for the Digital Communications, Public Speaking, and Composition Workshop classes that are still being used today. She also contributed to Jackie Walsh's forthcoming educational manual about Quality Questioning: Research Based Practice to Engage Every Learner. While at Madison City Schools, she achieved National Board Certification in December 2017 and a post Masters certification in Instructional Leadership in March 2019.
 
Mrs. Sedberry married her husband Keith Sedberry in 2012, and they have two boys, John David and James, as well as a Pomeranian/Chihuahua mix rescue dog named Lincoln. They enjoy spending time outdoors, traveling, and yelling "War Eagle!" on game day.
