Teri Haverkamp joined the Sparkman Senators in the 2021-2022 school year as a first year counselor.  She is originally from Laurel, Maryland.  She holds degrees from Athens State University and the University of West Alabama. Teri has a Bachelor’s of Science in Social Science with a minor in secondary education. She also has a Masters of Science in Counseling.

Before becoming a Senator, she spent six years teaching AP U.S. History, 11th U.S. History, 10th U.S. History, 9th World History, Psychology, and Contemporary Issues at Lee High School in Huntsville.

Teri is married and has five children.  When not at school, she spends time traveling, grilling, enjoying outdoor activities and sports.
