Keisha Acklin

am the special education collaborative teacher for K-3. I am a proud graduate of Alabama A&M University, where I received my Master’s in Collaborative Education. I have been an educator in the special education community for 7 years. I am delighted to be a part of the MCES family. I am a Google Certified Educator Level 1 and utilize Google tools in my instruction.

In my spare time I enjoy beach trips with my two wonderful boys, and can’t wait to enjoy trips with my bonus son, our fur baby Bruno. A few fun facts about me include my love for coca cola, the color red, Halloween, Mexico and everything about it, and just to reiterate… the beach. My biggest secret that I only reveal to those that are close to me is that I am the “Fourth Sanderson Sister” (Hocus Pocus fun), and if you haven’t guessed by now, it is my all-time favorite movie! My spirit character is The Grinch, but the part where his heart grew 3 SIZES.

I have a passion for the exceptional abilities’ community, and I believe in advocating for their success, which extends outside of the school setting. I also believe each day is a new day, and that students deserve a fresh and positive start to aid their success. Watching them blossom is what keeps me motivated and want to excel in my career. I believe collaboration with both the students and their parents is the key to overall success.

I am so excited to be a part of the Madison County Elementary family and I look forward to whatever the future may hold here!
