Hello! I'm Ms. Karr, and this is my 17th year of teaching ELA! It still feels like I just walked into my first classroom a few years ago. I've worked with children in some form since I was fifteen years old. My first job was at a daycare. I became a children's pastor at the age of 19 where I grew the program to have over 100 children and often sponsored outreaches of over 500 kids. I left children's ministry when I became a full-time teacher and moved to Huntsville with my son, Canaan. He is now grown, and I am an empty nester. I enjoy NASCAR, Alabama football, trivia, and anything that involves music (live bands, music bingo, etc.). I can't function without coffee, so my morning students know to make sure I've had my first cup, and my afternoon students know it has been a day when I have a cup in the afternoon. I look forward to a great year of learning and growing!
