I have been an educator since 2001. I have taught grades 6-12, multiple social studies' subjects, in the states of Alabama and Georgia. My passion is culturally responsive pedagogy through a social justice lens. I love ALL people and want us all to be treated equitably. I am married to my high school sweetheart and soulmate, Zorre, but we didn't marry until 25 years after we initially dated. It's a great story! I have two handsome boys, Logan and Michael and two great bonus kids, Charlee and ZJ.  I love to travel, dance (especially the salsa), play word games, and learn. My husband calls me a professional student. My next career will be a pilot or a drummer in a band or both. I have to take lessons for each, though. I currently sponsor the amazing Scholar's Bowl team.
