Emily Merrill graduated from the University of Montevallo in 2013 with a degree in Music Education and Instrumental Performance. She received her Kodaly Method certification from the University of Montevallo in 2019. She is currently working on a Masters of Music Education at the University of North Alabama. She has been with Madison County Schools for 5 years, and is excited to join the Mt. Carmel and Riverton Elementary School families this year. 

She lives with her wonderful husband, Abraham, three legged Corgi, Babs, and four cats, Kitty, Musket, Duck and Goose. She enjoys reading, playing trumpet and ukulele, and participating in her family's ongoing Dungeons and Dragons game.
