I'm happy to be at Meridianville Middle School! I was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and grew up living in Germany, California, Virginia, Indiana, Arkansas, and Alabama. I loved moving around every 2-3 years as an ARMY brat because it afforded me the opportunity to experience diverse cultures, make new friends, and learn how to adapt easily. My mother was a school teacher and my siblings and I all became teachers. I'm entering my 29th year of teaching English, band, orchestra, or choir! I live in Madison with my husband of 21 years, and we have 7 sons and an adorable but needy little dog named Biscuit! We enjoy traveling, camping, baking, and playing board games on family night! I serve in my community as the conductor for the Madison City Youth Orchestra, baker for Icing Smiles and the Make-a-Wish Foundation, and foster parent. I'm excited to learn with your child!
