My name is William Chandler. I am very excited about joining the Madison County Elementary School team! I am from Florence, Alabama, where I attended Wilson High School. I am very passionate about education and athletics. I participated and competed in more than 5 sports in high school including football, basketball, wrestling, power lifting, and track and field. I continued to compete in track and field for 6 years while earning two degrees in education at Columbus State University and Cumberland University. After earning my master’s degree, I was fortunate enough to live in Prague, Czech Republic for a school year and earn a certificate in Teaching English as a Second or other Language. Once I made my way back to Alabama, I began my public school teaching career at Brookwood Middle School, teaching 8th grade inclusion special education. While at Brookwood, I was an assistant football coach and assistant baseball coach. I am honored and looking forward to starting the school year as a part of the MCES family! I am also the MCMS Football Coach.
